Engadin Airport (SMV / LSZS) sits at 1,707 metres above sea level, around five kilometres from St. Moritz. Its runway is 1,800 metres long. Altitude, terrain and weather all affect aircraft suitability. Crews need a specific airport briefing, and the operating airline must assess whether the flight can be made on your chosen date.
You might enquire about Zurich to Samedan for a weekend, Geneva to Samedan for a stay in the Engadin, or London to Samedan with a return flight on a later date. The airport publishes year-round operations. In winter, regular opening hours end at evening civil twilight; a different timetable applies in summer.
